Fundraising for dDeaflinks Staffordshire

“Trekfest Peaks 2018”

We are doing a gruelling 25k

Trek through the beautiful Peak District on 1ST Sept 2018

Gill and I (Ruth) are members of staff at dDeaflinks but have been members of the deaf community for 40+ years.  Gill is profoundly deaf and has been actively involved with the centre/charity for many years.  I have parents who are both profoundly deaf and BSL users, so I regularly attended the centre with them growing up.  I have witnessed first-hand how much my parents relied upon the charity for support and advice, as well as socially to mix with friends. The charity has a thriving deaf community and they regularly have approx. 150+ people who use the centre each week. dDeaflinks receive no funding and rely heavily upon fundraising, donations and generating an income by selling some of its services (communication support and Training in Deaf Awareness/British Sign Language courses). We wish to raise as much money as possible to help the dDeaf community that we support ;-)……..
